Boring maintenance post

Spent almost an entire day changing the plugs and front pads on the VFR (at 61K).  Searched every shop I could think of in town for a tool to wind the brake pistons in, eventually bought a tiny G-clamp, then discovered I could push the pistons in quite easily by pushing them against the disk. Changing the plugs should have been straightforward, but due to impatience/ham-fistedness I rounded off a bolt that secured the coil on top of plug 4.  I've yet to sort that out, so it's got 3 new and 1 old plug.  Old ones looked fine though, I've only changed them as the mileage (36K) was up. I love the VFR, it's such a good all-round bike.  It's going back to Wales next weekend, assuming the weather is reasonable.

Horrible New Ship

Image
Spent virtually my entire fortune on this Vulture.  It's truly horrible - if you're caught in front of it's mighty beam lasers, that is.  And it's so manoeuvrable you can't get away from the beams!  Nasty.   Faithful Cobra (pictured below having the aircon thoroughly tested), is parked up, stripped of essential parts 'cos I needed cash for the new ship :( Vulture can bought in Esumindii -that place sells everything, it's a spaceship supermarket.

Beautiful

Elite:Dangerous 1.2 upgrade brings an external camera option.  Incredible level of detail on the ships - check the little ladders to the entrance hatch.  Still loving the Elite.

I have bought big SPACESHIP

I remain extremely enthusiastic about Elite:Dangerous, and I don't think my opinion is influenced by nostalgia; it is actually FLYING A BLOODY SPACESHIP! Lave station, last time I visited it in around 1986: Lave station, yesterday: I started out with a Sidewinder, made some cash doing some light bounty hunting (which involved running away a lot), bought a Viper, more bounty hunting (less running away this time), and now I've got a classic Cobra Mk3 : Ignore those weedy guns, this is as it arrived.  It's got big beams and a cannon now.  Note total lack of discarded crisp packets and empty Coke cans in the interior. Where are the relaxapads though? Finally, a shot from inside the space station; very slick:
